These Terms govern your use of the website semacint.com. They are short on purpose. They are not our terms of sale — a purchase is governed by the quotation and order confirmation we issue for it, not by this page.

1. Who we are

In these Terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Semac International Ltd; "you" means anyone using this site; and "the site" means semacint.com in either of its language versions.

2. Acceptance

By using the site you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please stop using it — that is the whole of the consequence, and no other obligation arises for you from this page.

We may revise these Terms; section 11 explains how. The version in force is the one published here when you visit.

3. Using the site

You may read, print and share our pages freely for your own professional purposes — that is what they are for. What you may not do is:

• copy the site, or a substantial part of it, in order to republish it or to build a competing catalogue;
• scrape or systematically extract our content by automated means, or place a load on the site that interferes with other visitors;
• attempt to gain access to any part of the site, server or system that is not public — including the staff area at /admin;
• submit anything unlawful, defamatory, infringing or malicious through the contact form, or use it to send unsolicited advertising;
• remove or obscure any copyright or trade-mark notice, or present our content as your own;
• use the site in a way that breaches applicable law, including export-control and sanctions rules — several of the products described here are subject to them.

We may restrict access where any of the above happens.

4. Intellectual property

The site's design, text, structure, and our own graphics and logos are our property or are used by us under licence, and are protected by copyright and trade-mark law.

Manufacturers' names, logos, trade marks, product designations, images and datasheets remain the property of their respective owners. We show them because we represent or distribute those products; nothing here transfers any right in them, and nothing on this site should be read as a claim by us to own another company's brand. Where a manufacturer's document is provided, it is provided unchanged, as we received it.

If you believe something on this site infringes your rights, write to sales@semacint.com and we will investigate promptly and, where the complaint is justified, remove it.

5. Product information is indicative

This is the most important section on the page, so it is not buried.

The product pages on this site are a catalogue overview, compiled largely from information published by the manufacturers we represent. Specifications, measuring ranges, materials, approvals, dimensions, images and availability:

• are provided for general information and pre-selection;
• may be abridged relative to the manufacturer's own documentation;
• are subject to change without notice by the manufacturer;
• may contain errors or omissions, which we correct as soon as we learn of them.

Accordingly, information on this site is not a technical specification and must not be relied on for design, procurement, safety or regulatory purposes. In particular, do not select an instrument for a hazardous area, a safety function or a custody-transfer duty on the basis of a catalogue page. The binding data for any product is the manufacturer's current datasheet and operating instructions, read together with the quotation we issue for your specific application.

Where a page shows a certification or approval — ATEX, IECEx, SIL, a hygienic or a material certificate — that indicates the product family is available in such a version. It does not mean the particular variant, range or wetted material you need carries it. Ask us; confirming this is precisely the sort of thing our engineers are for.

An image is illustrative of the product family and may show a different variant, size or process connection from the one described.

6. Enquiries, quotations and orders

Nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance, and no price is stated on it.

• Submitting the contact form is an enquiry, not an order. It creates no obligation on either side.
• Our reply is not a binding offer unless it is a written quotation that says so and states its validity period.
• A contract comes into existence only when we confirm your order in writing, and it is then governed by the terms of that quotation and confirmation — which prevail over this page for anything to do with the sale.
• Product availability, lead times and prices are confirmed per enquiry. Nothing here reserves stock.

We aim to answer every enquiry within one business day, but that is an intention, not a contractual commitment. Our business hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00 (Cyprus time), excluding public holidays.

7. Links to third parties

We link to manufacturers' sites and documents for your convenience. We do not control them, we do not endorse everything on them, and we are not responsible for their content, accuracy or availability. Following such a link takes you off this site, and the other party's terms and privacy policy apply from that point (see section 12 of our Privacy Policy).

8. Availability of the site

We aim to keep the site available and current, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components. We may change, suspend, restructure or withdraw any part of it — including any product page — at any time and without notice. A page or a product being present today is not a commitment that it will be tomorrow.

9. Liability

The site is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties as to its content, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of accuracy, completeness, satisfactory quality or fitness for a particular purpose.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this site — in particular loss of profit, production, revenue, contracts, data or goodwill, or the cost of an instrument selected on the basis of a catalogue page rather than a confirmed quotation.

Nothing in this section limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights are unaffected — though this site is addressed to businesses.

Liability arising from a sale is governed by the quotation and order confirmation for that sale, and by the applicable manufacturer's warranty. This section does not limit it, and this page never overrides it.

10. Privacy and cookies

How we handle personal data — including everything the contact form collects, and the very short list of cookies this site uses — is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time by publishing a new version here, identified by the version number and date at the top. A revision applies to your use of the site from the moment it is published; it does not change the terms of an order already confirmed. Where a change is material we mark it clearly. Previous versions are available on request.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms, and any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of this site, are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, and the courts of the Republic of Cyprus have jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer resident in the EU, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country of residence, nor of the right to bring proceedings there where EU law gives it to you.

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
